DeltaRail to Develop London Underground's Railway Timetabling System.

DeltaRail Group Limited signed a £6M contract with Transport for London on October 31st to develop and support a Railway Timetabling System for London Underground.

Working closely with London Underground's timetabling staff and Information Management specialists, DeltaRail will deliver a complete timetabling system that will support the creation, analysis and publication of detailed and effective timetables for all Underground Lines and interface with London Underground's existing signalling control systems to assist timetable implementation.

DeltaRail has a long involvement in railway timetabling and operational software development and implementation for Network Rail and the Train Operating Companies on the national rail network. As a market leader DeltaRail Group Ltd was selected by London Underground to tender for this contract and won it against stiff international competition.

Stuart Hill, Managing Director of DeltaRail, said: 'London Underground is one of the longest and most complex metro systems in the world, and effective timetabling is vital to the smooth running of a network carrying nearly one billion passengers a year. That DeltaRail has been chosen to help London Underground continue to meet this challenge in the future puts us at the forefront of this field.'
