DeltaRail Group appoints Anna Matthews as Chief Executive

Anna Matthews has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of DeltaRail Group, the international rail technology and consultancy business, with immediate effect.

She joins DeltaRail after a 13 year career with Invensys PLC in a variety of senior roles.

Mark Aldridge, Chairman of DeltaRail Group, said 'DeltaRail is now firmly in a new phase of growth and development and we are delighted to have Anna joining us to lead that expansion. She has a tremendous track-record in both turning around and building industrial businesses.'

Anna Matthews said, 'DeltaRail has a strong position in the rail market and I am looking forward to working with the team to grow the business into a truly leading force in the industry.'

Latterly, Anna was Managing Director of APV Baker, a manufacturer of machines and process systems to make food products, where she led a turnaround strategy, prior to selling the business in March 2006. The business had a team of 450 people based in the UK and USA.

From 2002 - 2005, Anna was Managing Director, IMServ, a data management company in the utilities sector and operator of the electricity industry trading and transmission systems (BETTA).

Between 2000 and 2002, she was Vice President IT & Development, Invensys Energy Solutions, a division of Invensys specialising in energy management and data solutions.
