DeltaRail Signs Unique Framework Agreement with Northern Rail
DeltaRail Group Limited has signed a framework agreement with train operating company Northern Rail. The agreement will see DeltaRail work on a variety of technology and engineering support contracts for Northern Rail.
The agreement gives Northern Rail quick and easy access to a number of DeltaRail’s specialist infrastructure services, including traction and rolling stock, depot management, fleet support and business support. DeltaRail will also be able to provide interface services between train and infrastructure, vehicle systems and general engineering support.
DeltaRail has been engaged in a number of initiatives, including standardising livery design on Northern’s diverse fleet, which is made up of 10 different types of vehicle. DeltaRail has also set up a technical helpdesk to respond to minor or urgent requirements as they arise.
This agreement gives Northern Rail added flexibility and allows them to contract DeltaRail with speed and without unnecessary red-tape. Northern Rail is a unique train operator, the largest in the UK by geographical area, with a diverse fleet and some remote operating locations.
