The Transient Railway Aerodynamics Investigation Rig
The Transient Railway Aerodynamics Investigation Rig(TRAIR) is a unique test facility that is able to test model-scale trains at speeds up to 315 km/h. It is unique in its ability to measure transient aerodynamic effects that occur when trains pass in the open or travel through tunnels. These effects cannot be simulated by conventional wind tunnels.
