DeltaRail signalling control systems are used extensively in the UK. 60% of UK main line train services are controlled by our systems for some part of their journey. We provide software applications, development and support plus specialist advice on signalling technology.

SSI is recognised as the standard electronic interlocking system across the UK due to its flexibility and widespread application.
DeltaRail offers the provision of SSI data design, installation and commissioning of equipment, and the provision of support at the Signalling Centre. lt provides know-how to assist in the project definition phase of SSI-based schemes and input into the outline project specification, signalling design specification and assists with defining key early design parameters.
DeltaRail's licensed designers produce or modify SSI data, usually from source information (Scheme Plan, Control Tables etc.) provided by the client. For smaller schemes, we are also able to produce the source information.
All SSI data is produced, 'set to work' and is independently bench-checked by IRSE licensed staff using our Design Workstation (DWS) facilities in Derby.
DeltaRail's licensed testers undertake principles testing on SSI data modifications or new interlockings using our simulated interlocking equipment at Derby, overseen by a nominated Tester-in-Charge (TIC).
Data is soak-tested on real interlocking equipment and prepared for installation. Our testing staff can install the equipment on-site, either under our own TIC or, for infrastructure projects, under a third-party TIC. For infrastructure projects, signal box assistance can be provided with through-testing and other functional/confidence testing.
